This morning, I tried to convince myself that the coming cold weather isn't so bad, so I looked through a few photos I took last winter, some of them I’ve posted above.
Yeah, yeah... go ahead and laugh about how I'm dreading the Georgia winter. It honestly doesn't make it more enjoyable to know that some people have to scrape their windshields, plow their driveways, become buried in blizzards and can't feel their fingers or toes for several months of the year. It really doesn't; because cold is still cold.
I have to say…
I love a snowy morning. The views of pristine white flakes covering a sleepy ground, and icy cicles hanging from bare winter trees are magical scenes. (Where I live, south of Atlanta, we only get snow for about a week or two... if we're lucky.)
I love the way the snow glistens as the rays of daybreak kiss the wintry earth good morning.
I love the spirit of giving and the gathering of families by the fireplace, bringing warmth to an otherwise blustery night.
I love the visiting cardinals that sing their praises to the season of hope.
Yes, I love winter... for about a week or two.
I love winter! I have to say...I love winter for more than a week or two though! I say bring on the cold weather!! :) Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! HEEHEE! :)
