Chicken Dinner!

Wow, it feels great to have my 50,000 words behind me. Those long nights of writing finally paid off. I won! I made a commitment and stuck to it.

Yes, it is just a first draft, and it’s not completed yet, but the challenge was to write at least 50,000 words of your novel in thirty days—and I did that.

Whew! Now I just need to concentrate on posting on my blog today and tomorrow and both of my November commitments will be complete. Okay, so I listed three things I was going to do in November. I said I’d walk on my treadmill every day, but that didn’t happen. I did do it every day for two weeks, then it died down to a couple of times a week… But still, I consider it a success, because it is more than I had been doing.

There is still a lot of work to be done on my novel, but I’m not on such a strict deadline now. It will feel good to go about it at a leisurely pace, though I still plan to have it edited by this spring. Wish me luck!
