I actually squealed when I got this Salsas and Moles cookbook. We eat chips and salsa several times a week, so I was excited to start making my own salsa recipes!
The gorgeous cover was enough to make my mouth water. And it’s a hardback, so it sits neatly on my counter, without flipping shut while I’m preparing.
The recipes are divided into the following sections:
· Classic Table Salsas
· Hot Salsas
· Mole and Enchilada Sauces
· Salsas for Tacos
· Chunky Salsas and Botanas
Oh my goodness! The salsa recipes I’ve tried taste delicious, and
look as good as the photos depicted in the book. The guacamole recipe is
simple, yet one of the best I’ve tasted. Mmm. I can’t wait to try more yumminess.
I highly recommend this cookbook. It is organized nicely,
varieties of peppers are described, and different spices are defined for those
who don’t use them regularly and may not know what they taste like or how spicy
they are. Each recipe has it’s own page, and hosts prep, heat index, etc., and loads
of other pertinent information.
