I've been stretching outside my genre comfort zone lately, and also outside my usual authors. So, once again, I'm reading an author's work for the first time.
Living Lies is an intriguing title, and the cover really pulled me in--two reasons I picked this book. The small town setting, believable plot, and full-bodied characters sucked me in fully.
One of the strongest aspects of this book, for me, is the way the author handled Lane's depression. I've never suffered from this, but know women who have/had, and she did a great job.
If you like mysteries, thrillers, and romance, this is a winner. I love to find new authors, especially when the book is the first in a series!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher.
