Stitches in Time
opens with Luke in a mental panic over the possibility of being chosen as a
deacon. Although I’ve been in completely different circumstances (obviously) I
could relate to his anxious thoughts. One of the things that really spoke to me
concerning Luke was his prayers asking what the Lord wanted him to do that very
day. What an impact that made on me. What if I asked God each day what he would
have me do? Sometimes the smallest tasks make the biggest impressions.
I really liked Mollie and her can-do attitude
and willingness to help, and the fact that she dives in a little over her head
and reluctantly has to turn to Sam, it makes her even more relatable.
The town of Stoney Ridge gives a wonderful
atmosphere to the story and fostering children offers a spiritual warmth. There
are so many wonderful characters, and I look forward to revisiting them in the
next book of the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book
from the publisher.
