Under the Bayou Moon

 

I enjoyed this clean read and the distinctive aura of the Louisiana bayou and the lobster fishing trade. I think this setting is a first for me, and love that it not only entertained me, but illuminated a new world for me. 

I connected with Ellie and her understandable emotions and stances throughout the story. She evoked so many feelings from me and i wanted her to find resolution and healing. I love how she approached her teaching and the children in her care. 

There is so much depth to this story. The history is rich, the romance is light, and the characters are interesting and diverse. I love the spiritual aspect of the story and heritage and healing that rises to the surface.
