The heavy issues covered in Dangerous Beauty are written in such a way as to not bury the reader in misery or hopelessness, but the opposite.
I had planned to read only the first chapter to get a feel for the book (because I was in the middle of another book) BUT that didn't happen. I was pulled into the story and it refused to let go. (The other book took backseat real fast.)
I've never been a big fan of the marriage of convenience trope, but this one works. Liliana is such a strong character and I liked her immediately. Perseverance builds character, and she overcomes a lot. With wonderful characters, double helpings of hope, and stimulating suspense, this book hits the mark!
Melissa Koslin is a new-to-me author. I love her storytelling sense.
Thank you to Revell for my complimentary copy of this book.
