Body of Evidence

 

This is the first book I've read in Irene Hannon's Triple Threat series, and I really enjoyed it! I didn't feel lost or that I was missing anything, so it works well as a standalone. I would like to read the rest in the series, though.

In Body of Evidence, Grace Reilly is a forensic pathologist who discovers some odd connections in several deaths. She reveals her suspicions to the sheriff, Nate Cox, and soon the investigation begins.

I like the fast pacing of this story. It kept me guessing and the characters were easy to like. The suspense is strong and it propels the romance forward. I read a lot of Christian fiction, but only a little suspense, and this story blends the two very nicely. There are some autopsy mentions that made me want to close my eyes, but this is a clean and dynamic suspense story that kept my interest.
