Nora Fenton is an enthusiastic and determined woman in The Secrets of Emberwild. I love how she doesn't let men rule her life and refuses to be pushed into a loveless marriage. I'd like to think I would be like her if I lived during that time. She's a bit naive at times, but I really like her and rooted for her.
Silas is also an interesting character. I admired his determination, I wanted him to find the answers, and I loved the attraction between him and Nora.
There is so much to enjoy in this book...mystery, horse-love, and sweet romance. It's everything I hoped it would be.
