Daughter of Eden

I can't even express how much I like Jill Eileen's work. She creates marvelous characters (or brings historical people back to life) and pulls me through so many emotions.

I was so excited to discover that Daughter of Eden was a story about Eve. I don't think I've ever read a fictional tale with her in it. There really isn't a whole lot of information about her in the scriptures, but she was such an important part of creation and everyone that followed. I can't say I ever really imagined what she went through, feeling guilt and shame for things she'd done and for being separated from God, her the creator.

Getting to know Eve in a new way, and living life of the unknown with the animals and such was exciting, fresh, and inspiring. I love the message of redemption, and how God's love is whole and never ending.
