Second Time Around

Melody Carlson's newest book, Second Time Around, is just as charming as her previous ones. The main character, Mallory, is likable and feels authentic, making it rather easy to relate to her. I felt for her and all the changes going on in her life, especially during her middle aged years. Grayson is an interesting character as well and I enjoyed seeing their later-in-life relationship evolve.

The seaside town feels familiar and so do its townsfolk. And I loved the design and decorating aspects of the story, wishing I could visit the shop in person.

The romance is fun and unique, and the ending is satisfying. I look forward to the next book!
