This is a really handy and relevant devotional for boys aged 9-12 with a focus on confidence and purpose.

I like the simplicity of this book and that each devotional only takes about ten minutes to read the message and answer a closing question. The readings have engaging titles, like "Controlling Your Thoughts", "Remembering to say Thanks" and "When Friends Desert You." These topics are so easy to relate to in middle school and will likely spark interest.

What I also like about this devotional, other than the focus and straightforward topics, are the questions asked in each lesson. These really make readers stop and think about things in a whole new way.
