Freedom's Light

I believe this is the first book I've read by Colleen Coble that didn't pull me in quickly. I normally adore her books, but I struggled a little with this one.

I love the historical aspects of Ms. Coble's stories, and she has an engaging writing style, but the stickler for me in Freedom's Light is the characters.

There are some nice scenes and I love the setting of the Revolutionary War, but ultimately, if I struggled to connect with the characters. Some I didn't like at all.

I certainly look forward to more of Ms. Coble's work, but hope that they are more like the previous ones I've read.
